Eastern Energy Plus Co., Ltd. (Eastern Energy Plus: EEP) was honored to participate as a Keynote Speaker at the ASEAN Solid Waste Management Congress 2026, a major international conference on waste management and environmental solutions in the ASEAN region. The participation highlights Thailand’s leadership in advanced waste management technology and sustainable environmental innovation.

Mr. Abinash Majhi, Chief Executive Officer, delivered a keynote speech titled “From Waste to Intelligence: Transforming Environmental Management Through Smart Technologies, Carbon Accountability, and Advanced Process Expertise.” He emphasized a new direction in waste management—shifting from traditional “waste disposal” toward “data-, technology-, and engineering-driven management,” known as Environmental Intelligence.
Mr. Abinash Majhi stated that today’s waste challenges are closely linked to climate change, including greenhouse gas emissions, resource loss, and impacts on communities. Traditional landfill systems are no longer sufficient to meet long-term sustainability goals. In response, the company has developed an Integrated Environmental Management approach focusing on four key pillars: Carbon Footprint Management, Circular Economy, Advanced Engineering Processes, and Real-time Environmental Monitoring.
On the technology front, EEP showcased its use of smart solutions, including E-Nose systems for real-time odor monitoring, thermal drone mapping, PM2.5 air quality monitoring systems, leachate treatment technologies (UF/RO), and Waste-to-Energy processes. These innovations enhance operational efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts.
In addition, the company introduced its Carbon Accountability concept through effective methane reduction technologies in landfill systems under the Beyond Net Zero initiative. This approach aims to achieve long-term Nature Net-Positive outcomes, with the company successfully reaching a measurable level of 0.1.
Mr. Majee stated:
“Future waste management must be driven by technology and data to create a balance between economic growth, environmental sustainability, and community well-being.”
The conference was held on March 19, 2026, at Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel. EEP’s participation reflects its strong capability in driving Thailand’s environmental innovations onto the ASEAN stage and reaffirms its commitment to developing efficient and sustainable waste management solutions.
