Driving Sustainable Communities Through the 3Rs Policy And Transforming “Orphan Waste” into Alternative Energy

Samut Prakan, Thailand — Eastern Energy Plus Co., Ltd. (“EEP”) continues its long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility by implementing a wide range of social and environmental initiatives aimed at improving community well-being and promoting sustainable resource management.
Over the years, EEP has consistently supported local communities through initiatives such as educational scholarships, annual health check-up programs, and collaboration with relevant government agencies operating within surrounding areas. Building on this foundation, the Company is launching a series of CSR projects for the year aligned with the 3Rs policy — Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse — to drive measurable environmental and social impact.
Recycle: Waste Bank – Turning Waste into Rewards
Under the Recycle pillar, EEP is implementing the Recyclable Waste Bank Program, which converts recyclable waste into reward points and incentives. The project is carried out in partnership with Phraeksa Mai Municipality and Khlong Mai School, encouraging proper waste separation among community members and students. Participants can exchange recyclable materials for rewards or savings, helping reduce waste at source while fostering long-term environmental awareness.
Reduce: “From Left to Last” Donation Initiative
As part of the Reduce pillar, EEP has launched the “From Left to Last” project, a donation initiative that collects gently used household items, clothing, and toys for redistribution to children and youth at [Name of Juvenile Observation and Protection Center].
Donation boxes will be placed at various community locations, retail outlets, and shopping areas across Samut Prakan Province to ensure convenient access. In addition, EEP will organize three mobile roadshow campaigns annually, visiting residential areas within the community to increase awareness and encourage participation.
Reuse: “Trees Find a Home (2nd Life)” – DIY Planter Workshop
Under the Reuse pillar, EEP introduces “Trees Find a Home (2nd Life)”, a community-based DIY planter workshop in the Phraeksa area. The project encourages participants to repurpose used containers and household items into plant pots, promoting creative reuse of materials. As part of the activity, participants will also receive trees and edible plants, supporting urban gardening and household-level sustainability.
From Orphan Waste to Energy
In addition to the 3Rs initiatives, EEP continues its “Orphan Waste: From Burden to Energy” project. This year, the Company has initiated a collaboration with Robinson Department Store, Samut Prakan, to collect non-biodegradable and hard-to-recycle waste generated by the shopping center. The waste will be processed, sorted, and converted into Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF), creating alternative energy while reducing environmental burden.
Eastern Energy Plus believes that structured, continuous CSR efforts — developed in collaboration with local authorities, communities, and private-sector partners — play a critical role in building resilient communities, reducing environmental impact, and advancing sustainable development over the long term.
