Ratchaburi-EEP Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. Wins CSR-DIW Award for the Third Consecutive Year, Reinforcing Its Role as a Sustainable Community Waste-to-Energy Model

Phraeksa Mai RDF-fired power plant, operated by Ratchaburi-EEP Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. (R-EEP), has once again achieved a significant milestone by winning the CSR-DIW Award for the third consecutive year. This accomplishment reflects the company’s strong commitment to conducting business with tangible social and environmental responsibility, while reaffirming its role as a model for sustainable community-based waste-to-energy power plants.

The CSR-DIW Award is organized by the Department of Industrial Works under the Ministry of Industry to recognize establishments that consistently demonstrate transparent and impactful corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices, delivering real benefits to surrounding communities. Receiving the CSR-DIW Continuous Award for three consecutive years is a testament to the plant’s strong and sustainable operational standards.

Operating under the “Zero Waste” concept, the Phraeksa Mai RDF power plant converts community waste into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) for electricity generation. Through its waste-to-energy process, the plant can avoid greenhouse gas emissions of up to 1.32 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO₂e) per megawatt-hour (MWh) of electricity sold, or approximately 49,606 tCO₂e annually.

In addition to its environmentally friendly technologies, R-EEP places strong emphasis on community engagement through ongoing CSR initiatives, including:

  • Waste Bank Project to promote waste segregation within communities
  • “Orphan Waste: From Burden to Energy” Project
  • Environmental education programs for schools and the public
  • Support for public benefit activities and community quality-of-life development
  • Environmental impact reduction initiatives and fostering mutual understanding with communities

The award ceremony was held on March 25, 2026, at the Royal Jubilee Ballroom, Challenger Building, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province. Mr. Abinash Maji, Chief Executive Officer of Ratchaburi-EEP Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., represented the company in receiving the award from executives of the Ministry of Industry.

Mr. Abinash Majhi stated:

“We are truly honored that the Phraeksa Mai RDF power plant has received the CSR-DIW Award for the third consecutive year. This recognition not only reflects our organization’s commitment to responsible business practices toward society and the environment, but also serves as great encouragement for our team to continuously develop projects that benefit the community. We will continue striving to balance business growth, environmental stewardship, and the enhancement of quality of life for surrounding communities.”

This achievement highlights not only the plant’s capability in efficiently converting waste into energy, but also its dedication to “giving back to society” alongside sustainable business growth.

R-EEP remains committed to continuously improving its operational standards, contributing to the advancement of Thailand’s circular economy, and fostering long-term balance among economic, social, and environmental dimensions.
